I’m coming off a long week in Oakland CA where I attended the non-profit #WebDevTech Summit and stayed in UC Berkeley’s coop Lothlorien. I’ll write more on that later I’m sure.
Today I woke up late to breakfast served by jackie. We then went through our morning meeting and after taking a bit longer than expected we watched some CrashCoarse and a single short episode Last Week Tonight.
We then played GeoGuesser and got about 15,000 points! There were some really beautiful locations this go around.
After that I fell asleep on the couch for hours. At some point Abe started watching Democracy Now! and it crept into my dreams. I was in Ferguson MI with Amy Goodman, I was with her in my dream while listening to her in real life. It was a strange cross over and I kept going in and out of the real and imagined world. I was an adventure all right…
At around 2pm I woke up and puttered around a bit. Still tired from an extremely long day Monday.
I attacked some of my tasks, deposited a check, started recovering all the files I lost when my harddrive crashed last week.
Our list question for today is what was your strongest emotions today:
I have to say sadness and anger were with me because of the termoil and unjustice around the Mike Brown verdict as well as the wider context of white supremacy still deeply prevalent in our culture.
I was also filled with hope and joy upon being back and seeing my student/friends.
If sleepiness is an emotion I was also filled with that!
